Description Paper

Matt Feldott
My Father
My father has always been there for me through the thick and thin. I want to give just a little insight about my dad. He works as a mechanic for West Aurora and has been for over 20 years. He is a great husband, father and roll model. It all started when he started coaching basketball for the YMCA little dribblers. Ever since that day he has been there in sports, scouts and anything else that I am involved in. He was a basketball, football, soccer and baseball coach and he was also an assistant Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader for the troops I was in. Even though I don’t play anymore he and I still sit and watch games on TV and we will talk about the Bears or Cubs and about what we here on the news.
He has been coaching for a long time. He started with basketball and then a few years later he became a football coach for the Aurora Youth Tackle Football. He then became the man in charge of the league and he did that for 6 years. After that he became the offensive and defensive line coach at Holy Angels Grade/Middle School for 2 years. He also coached basketball there for 4 years and he was the track discuss coach for 2 years. Not only was he a coach but he also was an assistant Cub and Boy Scout leader for 13 years. In scouting he was a multie merit badge counselor.
He not only is a great coach but he is also a great father. He helps when someone in our family is sick or hurt. He was there when my mom had to have surgery; he took off of work just so he could stay home with her and help her to get better. He helps when someone is having a bad day. He will listen to them and try and give them some advice if they ask. He shares his knowledge about car problems and other things to people that might not know what is wrong and he share a little more insight on things that they do know. He helps our family and friends when there is something wrong with there vehicle because he is a mechanic and he knows what he is talking about.
He is the best father and husband we could ask for and we would never ask for someone else, no matter how frustrated we get, because he is there when we need help and he also helps others that need it whether at work or wherever he is. My father is the man I want to be when I get older and I hope that I can be just like him.
